Workbench Logo + Brand Development
Workbench is a collaborative, team-based approach to business development, marketing, PR and fundraising for early stage technology companies. They provide fully integrated, flexible and dynamic teams to deliver strategic expertise and execution in alignment with commercialization and fundraising objectives of tech start-ups. More than a consulting firm, they are action-oriented partners in helping tech founders turn their ideas into viable, successful businesses.
The company, founded last year, required a logo and brand that represents who they are, articulates what they stand for, and demonstrates how they are different from typical tech consulting firms.Our goal was to develop a strategic brand model, and then bring that to life visually in a creative, artistic way.
To do this we created an identity that was energetic, driven, eccentric, and ridiculously cool. Since Workbench is based out of San Francisco and Toronto, we felt it was important to reflect these tech scenes by paying homage to the cities themselves. Architectural details, mathematic formulas, and textured backgrounds replicating graph paper play off the idea that founders are bringing their ideas to the "workbench".
